From small residential tranquility ponds, to large Koi ponds, disappearing waterfalls to rock fountains we can do it all. We work with a network of qualified landscapers that can help make your dream pond come true. If you are looking for pond design, pond construction, re-waterscaping an existing pond, a professionally installed water garden can provide years of relaxing entertainment.

Your pond is allot like an aquarium when it comes to water, do not confuse water quality and water clarity. Crystal clear water can contain compounds that are deadly to your fish, like Ammonia and Nitrites. Green water, caused by excessive phytoplankton growth can actually be beneficial to the fish, nevertheless, unless your water is clear, your pond will not look attractive. Murky water can be an indicator that something is wrong with the chemical composition or the nutrient levels in the pond. So what ever you need for your pond from pumps, filters, UV Sterilizers or lighting, we have the best selection and price in the area.
Know your water. Well water may contain ferrous bicarbonate, detected by a brown precipitate that forms when neutral or alkaline water is aerated.  Besides being mildly irritating to the fish, ferrous bicarbonate stains equipment and causes water to become cloudy. Chlorine and Chloramines are harmful to fish and will kill the beneficial nitrifying bacteria in the pond.  Likewise, they may burn or kill aquatic plants. So make sure of the water your are using in your pond.

                                          FAQ ON WATER QUALITY

Will letting tap water sit for a few days remove chloramines?

Answer: NO, letting tap water sit for a few days will not remove chlormines. The practice of filling a container with tap water and sitting aside for few days before using it in an aquarium works fine when chlorine alone is present. Chlorine dissipates from water rapidly on its own but chloramines can stay in the water for weeks. Tap water contains both short acting chlorine and long acting chlorine (chloramine) as well as nitrates and phosphates. Over and over emphasis is placed on the need for high quality water, whether a fish only or reef system use RO/DI water.
